The name PAPERSHAKER  is based on the slang term used for cheerleaders or‘pom-pom’ girls in the 50s. Designer, Zaheda G. Wadan, believes this sums up her range of silk and cotton dresses - confident and sexy.  Incorporating Zaheda's Afghan heritage into the designs, the label becomes a nexus between the two worlds of Afghan culture and 1950's vintage fashion.  

 

Scoops Design is designed by Sophie Cooper who is a graphic designer and art director. She started making T-Shirts and brooches for her friends as presents and as a way of relaxing from a stressful job. All of Scoops Design t shirts are hand made and one-off and the brooches and earrings are limited edition, based on characters she has drawn and developed since early childhood.
