Wouldn't you love a personalised portrait of your beloved pet. These portraits are drawn in graphite pencil on drafting film and are then backed onto white polypropylene card making them an archival heirloom that will last longer than a life time. They are an intimate keepsake that can be carried with you, stored in an album, or framed behind glass, and provide you with a lasting memory of your favourite pet who, in many cases, are with us for too short a time. I have sold numerous paintings and take pride in producing work that is photorealistic, with great attention to detail, but still with the warmth and character that only a painting can achieve. Animals are a part of our family, and each portrait is done with an effort to achieve the unique essence of your pet.
Your portrait will be signed on the back with the Title, Medium and date. No payment is required until the portrait has been completed and meets your approval.
Drafting film is a polyester paper, similar in weight to tracing paper; it is archival, and extremely durable, giving a beautiful crisp finish unachievable on regular papers. It is backed onto the polypropylene card using adhesive jac paper, to ensure the art card you receive is sturdy and of the highest quality, and the mounting process is barely detectable.
To start with, I get you to email me some high resolution, quality photos of your pet and together we decide which would be the most suitable one for a portrait. Once the portrait is completed, I will email you with a low resolution scanned copy of the portrait which will include a watermark. Once payment has been received, the portrait will be posted to you within a day or two.
I am an award winning miniature artist and member of the Australian Society of Miniature Art (NSW), and have sold many paintings. My artwork may be viewed at www.miniatureartbykhull.com.
Your portrait will be sent in secure, waterproof packaging to ensure your investment arrives in the best possible condition. The artwork will be fixed with a workable fixative to prevent smudging and due to the non absorbent tendency of the drafting film, some minor glaze imperfections may be visible in strong light but they do not detract from the beauty of the detailed artwork.
If framing your portrait, please ensure that a mat board is used so the artwork is not resting against the glass.
