I made this chain maille bracelet with silver aluminium jump rings in a standard European 4 in 1 weave and finished it with a beautiful abalone paua shell clasp. 

The weave originated centuries ago when it was used to make protective armour for knights and soldiers.

This bracelet is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. The aluminium jump rings look like sterling silver, but are much lighter and will not tarnish.

This bracelet is approx. 8 inches long and 3/4 inch (16mm) wide. A good way to measure your bracelet size is to wrap a piece of string around your wrist and measure it or measure the length of your favourite bracelet.
