In 1929 Virginia Woolf said in a lecture that she gave at a Women's College at Cambridge University that "women needed money and a room of one's own if they were to write fiction". Woolf belonged to a creative group of writers and artists, known as the Bloomsbury group. The Alexander Henry print on the overlay of this skirt is very Bloomsbury-ish. The skirt under the overlay is made from a sturdy cafe` latte coloured, mid weight, cotton fabric. This adjustable sized wrap skirt has back pocket in contrasting print. Hem and waist trim are printed with a painterly floral and striped fabrics.. All fabrics are 100% cotton.
