If you love mohair these could be the slippers for you.  I have upcycled a mohair cardigan which had passed its use- by date.  Such a gorgeous shade of blue!   It has been machine felted until thick enough to cut the slipper shapes from. After they have been constructed I embellished them with buttons and embroidered flowers. Around the ankle I have finished it off with a fluffy novelty yarn for a relaxed fit. Inside, the sole has been cut with a lining of pink pure wool from a discarded jacket. This gives them more longevity and a more cushiony base.

The length of these slippers is 23cms ( 9inches) from heel to toe. They are flexible enough to fit a slightly larger or smaller foot.
