This bonnet was handknit using Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino....a high quality yarn comprising of a mix of merino wool, microfibre and cashmere. I used a shade reminiscent of chocolate.  

The reason I chose this stitch combination is because that while the exterior of the bonnet is awesomely textured, the interior is almost as smooth as stocking stitch...and so lovely and soft on babies head. The bonnet fastens using a knit strap under the chin that buttons to one side.

The flower is not attached to the hat, I have kept it seperate as I think that depending on the colour chosen this hat would be very nice on a little boy...but he probably wouldn't appreciate a flower :-). If you choose to purchase this bonnet, I can either attach a safety pin to the flower or stitch it directly on the bonnet, just add a message with your choice when checking out.

The bonnet will come wrapped in tissue paper, with washing instructions and a spare length of the main colour yarn (to take shopping for colour matching purposes....or for when your older child decides to try the hat on the cat!)
