Since we live by the sea, marine and oceanic themes are popular in my family. Every year the whales migrate past us up the east coast of Australia to warmer waters and then later back down to the Antarctic.... and if we are lucky we can sometimes spot one. And so the idea came for a little quilt inspired by those passing whales.

This listing is for a gorgeous hand sewn quilt and small patchwork cushion/pillow in a fabulous colour combination of red, white and aqua.  This is a perfect unisex quilt.

This quilt features little pale blue felt whales which have been heat bonded to the surface and then hand stitched in a contrasting red stitch.
This quilt is made up of a patchwork top panel featuring a fresh colour combination or red , white and aqua.. It is a mix of whales, pale blue with a rik, rak stripe, spots as pictured  and is backed in a aqua cotton fabric. It has a white border.  It is individually machine quilted and trimmed in a striped binding for a luxurious and high quality finish.

Quilt measures approx 36" x 45" or 90cm x115cm, and pillow 12" square and comes unfilled for ease of shipping.


Made with 100% natural cotton batting inside which can breathe and absorb moisture. It is great for babies unlike inferior synthetic battings
To extend the life of your quilt I recommend hand wash or a cool gentle cycle. Line dry in shade.
