ABOUT THIS ARTWORK:

'Now and Then' is an original mixed media painting I created in May, 2012.

... Like most people, I go through stages of contentment and other times of looking ahead to towards my dreams and wishes for the future. Sometimes I spend a lot of time in the future, which can lead me to beat myself up for not appreciating the now.

So, 'Now and Then' is an ode to giving myself a bit more leg room, making it okay to just do my best with what I have, and what I'd like to have, in my life, rather than beating myself up for missing the joy in the moment. I think in reality, being gentle is the kindest way to treat myself, rather than trying to be like a zen monk.

This artwork is jam-packed with beautiful, intrricate fine detail and layered painting techniques which create vibrant depth and movement to the piece.

This artwork sits beautifully on a shelf or can be framed.

MEASUREMENTS:

I created this original using acrylic paint, and watercolour on heavyweight card. 15.5 x 15.5 cms (2012). Lovingly, carefully packaged and shipped via Registered Post.
