Soft hand dyed pure Australian wool-200 gram ball in 8 ply. It is 100% merino wool made into an 8 ply worsted weight yarn.

This yarn has contrasting tones of magenta and mauve purples.

This layered colouring is achieved from both immersion dyeing and painting directly onto the yarn with individually mixed colours for unique and beautiful depth of colours.

The wool is a 200 gram ball (store balls are usually sold in 50 gram lots so this is 4 x a 50 gram ball) with no joins.

This one ball is more than enough for a hat, scarf, childrens top or a soaker or used with other 8 ply yarns for larger projects such as granny square blankets.

The yarn colour won't fade. As it is pure wool the yarn will require hand washing and is suitable for sun or shade drying. This yarn is also suitable for felting.
