What is it?
A hand-crafted, exquisitely soft, cream bamboo jersey scarf, screen-printed with my original design. The cream colour is the natural colour of this fibre. It’s beautiful, soft, bright & light and will brighten up your face & outfit. (I’d like to say it will brighten up your whole day, but that might be going too far).
What’s on it?
My hobo tree. It’s kinda scruffy and I just love it. The design is actually a Silver Wattle (Aussie native!), and I photographed it on Snug beach, Tasmania. It’s printed on both ends of the scarf (just on one side of the fabric).
Oh and the ink is great too, its water based, doesn’t include any nasties (no CFC’s, HCFC’s, volatile solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons nor phthalate). It’s also free of phenylalanine, caffeine and calories. Please don’t eat it.
What’s it made of?
Bamboo. No, not the actual tree. Just beautifully soft bamboo jersey (if you like numbers - bamboo 95%, spandex 5%). Honestly, it is just delightfully soft against your skin.
I’ve kept the natural raw edge. Actually that’s not true. I’ve gone to great effort to give it a beautiful clean precision cut on all edges. There might be slight variations along edges and widths – that’s because I’m not actually a machine (yet). Oh yes, handmade, that’s right.
How big is it?
This little beauty is 200cm long and ~38cm wide. The length should be ample for a whole variety of heights. To give you an idea of sizing and length, I myself (yes that’s me, the model making funny faces in the picture) measure a towering 5’ 2” and it is on the long side for me.
How do I wear it?
Tie it. Knot it. Wrap it. Drape it. I must confess it looks best on necks. It doesn’t look quite as good around ankles or thighs.
How to look after it?
Hand wash separately in a gentle detergent.
Some is good, more is better.
The 4th picture shows the range of fabric colours and designs I have available. Check out my other listings, or message me if there’s a particular combination you’d like.
If you want to buy more than one of my little darlings, just let me know because your postage will be cheaper. My scarves just love snuggling up together in postage packs.
