A beautiful reversible capelet for your little girl it will fit a 3 year old up to a 6 year old (or older depending on the child), it will fit a younger child but would have to be supervised given the long neck ties.  

The capelet is hand made and each one is unique.  

This capelet is made from a vintage ecru coloured hand embroidered tablecloth with pink and red embroided roses and a soft blue trailing leaf pattern on one side with the same fabric peter pan collar on the outside and fully lined in white vintage fabric (made in England from a deceased estate sale), it could just as easily be worn in the reverse as the capelet is fully reversible, the other side is just plain white with 3 circles of Tanya Whelan rose fabric interfaced on and double stitched around the outside for decoration and to keep the circles on.  The capelet is finished with vintage style ecru cotton lace ties.

I suggest gentle washing in a laundry bag (I can sew one up for $5 if required -just ask a question before purchase and the price can be adjusted before purchase), line drying inside out in the shade is also recommended to preserve the vivid colours of the embroidery.

The capelet is as the name says a small cape, it's made to cover the shoulders and sits around the elbow level either on, just above or just below the elbow looks best.  The capelet is approximately 27cm long.

A capelet is a very versatile wardrobe item if they're like my little girl then they love it because it's dressing up and because she always gets lots of compliments on how beautiful she looks - which like any girl (big or little) she loves.  I also find the capelet great for Ruby as she always leaves home with a jacket on but by the time we're half way down the road she's taken it off, whereas the capelet stays on.  

This is a lovely elegant piece to co-ordinate and dress up any wardrobe.

This capelet also makes a great gift as it is so versatile in its sizing and is a gift that will last through the seasons and years, I've had a few purchased for this reason and they are well received.
