Pride and Prejudice Necklace. Vintage inspired Jewelry by Two Cheeky Monkeys on Madeit.

This simple, but beautiful, necklace is for those who love all things Pride and Prejudice. Hanging on a delicate silver-plated chain is a teardrop pendant which features a snippet of text from a vintage copy of Jane Austen's famous novel.

The piece of book page has been inlaid into the pendant setting using glaze and a pear-shaped glass cabochon. Adding the romantic charm of a P&P necklace is a sweet bow made from vintage, pink hemtape which has had the ends lightly sealed with fray stop.

The snippet of text comes from the passage:
"...Mrs. Bennet luckily stood in such awe of her intended son-in-law that she ventured not to speak to him, unless it was in her power to offer him any attentions, or mark her deference for his opinion.
Elizabeth had the satisfaction of seeing her father taking pains to get acquainted with him; and Mr. Bennet soon assured her that he was rising every hour in his esteem."

The necklace is finished with a lobster claw clasp and is approximately 54cm long. The pendant measures 4x2cm and the lace bow is 4cm across.
PLEASE NOTE that this necklace is not waterproof. You will also see some small bubbles in the glazing, the beauty of handmade.
