I have been incorporating stamps into my woodwork for some time now and I am always amazed by how beautiful the combination is.  The stamps, being an everyday, common item, are actually miniature works of art which works wonderfully well with timber.  This is a vintage 1960 Spanish IFNI stamp which I've turned into wearable art.

The stamp is placed on a bed of pine, framed with cocobolo wood, backed with a blackwood veneer and finished with a layer of resin. 

Makes a great gift for overseas visitors and is small enough to be mailed.

Measurements are:  44mm wide x 26mm high x 9mm deep

I make sure the brooches are protected with a lot of bubblewrap when I mail them.
