Living on the coast in Australia means you either know someone who loves to surf, or have someone in the family that loves to surf, that's if you don't surf yourself. It's part of the culture. In my case I know plenty , including my hubby who insisted I create a surf inspired quilt for our little boy.

This listing is for a gorgeous hand made surf theme baby quilt and matching cushion cover for your little surfer boy.

The quilt features felt applique surfboards which have been heat bonded to the surface and then hand stitched in a contrasting stitch. This quilt is made up of a patchwork top panel featuring a mix of spots, stripes,checks and great surfboard print fabric in a fresh celery, white, and blue colour scheme. It is backed in a green gingham check fabric and has a celery green border. It has a layer of natural cotton batting and is individually machine quilted along all seams and trimmed with a binding for a luxurious and high quality finish.
Measures approx 85cmx115cm .  The cushion is approx 30cm and come unfilled for ease of shipping.

These quilts are so versatile and are also great to use in the cot or crib, as a floor blanket , for car trips, cuddling and folds up to a compact size which is easy to pack in your baby bag. Because lets face it, you kind of want to show it off rather than leave it in your nursery.

This quilt uses a soft natural cotton batting inside. As cotton is a natural fibre it absorbs moisture and is breathable which makes it ideal for babies. It is a soft fibre and is machine washable and a superior choice to sweaty polyester fills. To extend the life of your quilt I recommend hand wash or a cool gentle cycle. Line dry in shade.
