I made this Quilt inspired by the Olympics this year.
It has the following Countries capitals: London, Sydney, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Reykjavik, Mexico, Moscow, Barcelona, Nairobi, Cairo, New York, Montreal, Paris, Rome, Rio De Janeiro.
The back features the World Map, with information on all the countries. It really is a great educational Quilt.
Quilt measures 76cm x 102cm approx ( 30" x 40" ) I have free motion quilted swirls all over to represent travelling the globe. There is an additional block with a Jumbo Jet applique.
This would suit a baby born during the Olympics, Parents who are well travelled, or maybe a gift to the overseas baby. This is a very unique Quilt.
Machine stitched binding gives this quilt more durability.
I have laundered it, which gives nice little crinkles.
I am a firm believer in using natural products. I have used 100% low loft warm and white cotton batting on this baby quilt.
This is a lovely handmade gift, that would make any new parent and baby happy.

Wash by hand, or gentle cold machine wash. Dry in shade prefered. I use and recommend Colour Catcher when washing.
