This is a lovely, simple earthy piece - simple, classy and very stylish.
The chain is an 20 inch, 1mm thick sterling silver, high quality diamond cut ball chain and from this I have attached a handmade 'bubble' circle with a nice organic feel to it. THis is made from fine silver. From this hangs the black beach pebble and a fine silver a shell spiral which I have made from a real shell, fired, given a patina and polished.
About the fine silver pieces I make....
Each silver piece I make goes though an extensive process. Firstly I make a mould from clay and use this as a template for the piece. The fine silver is then cast into the mould and once set, I then file, smooth and drill the piece. Next is the firing part which takes about 3 hours in a kiln. Once this stage is complete, the silver is then wire-woolled, burnished and then given a patina to bring out the detail. Finally the piece is polished up and ready to use. This whole process can take 3 days and each piece is painstakingly made but the end result is a totally handmade, original design.
Length from top of ring to bottom of pebble is approx: 4.2cm.
The shell swings freely infront of the pebble on a ball head sterling pin.
Due to the nature of the components in this piece - it is a OOAK original piece, nevre to be repeated!
