Welcome to Plushka Design Studio, where I create playful felt food, pocket friends, personalised keepsakes and seasonal decorations designed to bring a little more imagination and joy to everyday life.
I’m Katia, the designer and maker behind Plushka. Every piece begins in my small Sydney studio, where it is individually cut, embroidered and stitched by hand using beautiful highest quality pure wool felt.
Plushka began with my lifelong love of making things by hand. The name comes from Plushka, a sweet heart-shaped pastry my grandmother used to bake — a little connection to family, creativity and the comfort of handmade traditions.
My play food is designed to inspire open-ended imaginative play, while my pocket friends and keepsakes make thoughtful little gifts to treasure.
No mass production and no assembly line — just slow, careful making, one stitch at a time.
