Description
Waiting for eggs to hatch is 21 days of nail biting worry. Humidity, temperature, candling and holding your breath for them to pip. Then the big day arrives and your life is invaded by fluffy, chirpy, messy little busy bodies. The children love them, and you keep them alive, they grow, feather and join the flock. This year my daughter hatched her first batch of home brooded chicks to the delight of her children, and so the cycle of life, nurture, and wholesome living continues. I wanted to capture that memory, fun and excitement, in this whimsical piece.
