About the Stone:
"Carnelian is an orange-red variety of chalcedony. It ranges from translucent to opaque and is usually pale orange to an intense almost-black coloration. The name for this stone comes from a Latin word meaning “flesh” or “yellowish red”, which symbolizes bold energy and stimulation of the spirit. Ancient Egyptians named Carnelian the "Sunset Stone" because they believed it caught and reflected the heat of the sun and channeled it into the wearer.
