My shop really is an exploration of beautiful handmade things both wearable and decorative.
The common thread being materials such as felt, fabrics, leather, buttons, wooden beads and really anything I discover both new and second-hand. I use both machine and hand sewing as well as have a bit of an obsession with needle-felting, a technique I learnt in a grade 2 art class- kids are very clever!!
Inspiration comes firstly from mother nature of course! The 'dove and daisy' design, my first design, was inspired by two doves nesting in my courtyard and as well as the inspiration of making my daughter her first hanging mobile. I am also very inspired by materials themselves and am always on the hunt for interesting materials to use in unique combinations.
