A bookkeeper by morning, a jeweller in the afternoon, a piano teacher by night and a dreamer of the next flourish of wire in my sleep.
I feel privileged to live and work in a beautiful environment of gum trees, wattles, kangaroos and tiny little brilliant blue fairy wrens in Sunbury, Victoria, Australia. I am inspired by the simple things in life.... stillness, soulful jazz music, sunshine on my back when I walk my two Jack Russell dogs and rain pelting down on the tin roof of my studio.
I love the space of time I go into when I am creating with wire. Time comes to a halt as the wire moves this way and that, taking on a life of its own.
Parting with a piece of my jewellery is bitter sweet. I send it on its way with my blessing but I say farewell to a small piece of who I am.
