Welcome to Piggledee!
I loved making things when I was a little girl. I knitted hats and scarves, made felt dolls, and embroidered. There was such a joy in all this.
Then I grew up -- and career intervened. I went to law school and practised law for years. I barely had enough time to sleep, let alone cook, clean, or craft.
My corporate life burned me out eventually. I began to yearn for simple things in life. Things like going to a farmers market and making dinner from scratch. Or making my own clothes. I quit my job and enrolled myself in a cooking school.
After my foray into the fun but crazy world of professional cookery, I had two children, and became a stay-at-home mother.
Now I have picked up where I left off as a child - crafting again. This time I make things for my three-year-old daughter and one-yar-old son. Clothes, bibs, bags, hats and more.
There is so much joy in not only making things, but using handmade things every single day. Because it's special. It's made just for your child. It's warm and comforting like a cuddly blanket. I hope to share this specialness with you and the children in your life, too.
