Hi, I'm Belinda, welcome to The Wiggle Tree.
I started designing and making the products you see here about 3 months into my maternity leave. My little one is a huge dribbler and I hated covering up her cute little outfits with ugly bibs. So I got online, brought some beautiful Japanese fabrics, and I created some funky bibs that could keep up with her flow. Everything else has developed from there.
My background is in Bridal design. I worked in this industry for over 10 years, both in Australia and the U.K, as a designer, pattern maker, product developer, machinist, and anything else you can imagine. Surprisingly, some bridal couture techniques have come in very handy in creating parts of my collection :)
My main aim is to create useful and essential products using natural and organic materials, and most importantly, they have to look fantastic! So I spend a lot of time sourcing gorgeous fabrics, from both Australian and overseas designers, because I think practical should still look awesome. I have a massive obsession with hand screen printed fabrics, and I especially LOVE what our very talented Australian Designers produce!
Everything in my collection is made with great care, to a standard any perfectionist would appreciate. My little girl (The Wiggle) is my inspiration, and the amazing fabrics I find, bring my designs to life. I love creating new things for my store, and I hope you enjoy browsing through it.
