My name is Karli and I live in sunny Queensland and I've been making jewellery for about a year and a half now. I've always been a creative person and jewellery design just felt like the perfect outlet for my creativity, it's an art that you are forever learning new techniques, styles and skills and as a new designer I am always finding inspiration in even the most simplest of things.
I am inspired by vintage and 1920's styles with dark metals and beautiful gemstones but I also love bold bright colours and interesting designs from modern and alternative to retro and classic. I am always open to advice on a techniques and helpful suggestions. I look forward to expanding my pieces to all jewllery categories: rings, bracelets, necklaces, cuffs, head bands and of course earrings. I plan on learning to solder this year so I can truely design my own settings and one-of-a-kind pieces.
I spend a lot of time sourcing materials from all over the world and I have become very good at getting top quality materials at wholesale prices which has allowed me to create my jewellery with quality materials that don't break the bank!
I chose the name JellyBeanDesigns after my little mini-fox terrier jellybean who is always by my side alseep while I make my jewellery so I thought it was perfect and jelly always offers his sniff of approval. Jellybean is the C.E.O. of cuteness here at JellyBeanDesigns.
