'& it will be handmade'. 

            'Les Fleurs du Printemps' was born from a passionate craving for a creative outlet. The name translates as 'The Flowers of Spring' and was inspired by my visits to France and Japan in early April, 2009.

            'Les Fleurs du Printemps' is about the design and creation of hand crafted exquisite necklaces and decor for the home. It is an ode to those who appreciate fine detail in a unique style. The inspiration for my designs comes from a love of semi-precious stones and an attraction to all things that sparkle.

Design Process 

          As the name of my label would suggest I draw inspiration from the array of colours of a spring garden in bloom. Regional influences play a big role in my designs as well. India, France & Japan.

         Quality, structural integrity & attention to detail are most important to me. I strive to design & fabricate all of my pieces by my self. I love combining techniques from different regions & genres of the craft. Pearl knotting, hand-stitching & bead weaving are what I love to do the most. Although these techniques can sometimes be labour intensive and time consuming, the labour of love brings me extreme satisfaction.

         An integral part of my work is to use manufactured components to the minimum. I work extensively with semi-precious stones and high quality Austrian crystal beads. I spend a lot of time resourcing the semi-precious stones & findings from across the globe to encourage uniqueness & diversity in my designs. 

          Some of my work can be very detail oriented & can sometimes take up to a few days to finish working on a design. I do not hesitate to undo & redo a my work till I have achieved the desired level of quality in design & structure.
